Stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and was formed in 1949 as an alliance. Get a loads of free books and publications telling you about what they are, what they do, what they have done etc. Excellent for a project or if just plain interested. It will take a couple of weeks to arrive, but worth waiting for. Click on publications, then look around the site for more. The Library is very good. Sorry :-( This freebie has now closed.
