Free UK Stuff was started November 1998; it officially opened to the public on the 1st February 1999 after 4 very successful trial months.

WHY?

Free UK Stuff was started because one of my clients was running a free competition on his website. He wanted to use the competition to get more visitors to the website. When requesting links from websites that tell people about competitions and free stuff, nothing happened... It later turned out that most of the websites had not been updated for a long, long time. The idea of giving people access to a directory listing some of the many things you can find for free on the Internet was too good an idea to let die, so Free UK Stuff was born.

Free UK Stuff is update daily to keep it current. Most of the things you don't see like 'customer support' and so on go on everyday... You don't pay a thing to use this website, and we give you support for free.. What a great deal you get so remember to be nice when you write looking for help with an issue.

December 2003 saw a major update to Free UK Stuff, we re-wrote the entire website from scratch. We wanted to make it for functional and easier to use plus increase the functions for our members to use. August also saw FBee make his first appearance. FBee is the sites new mascot, he was designed to give the site an instantly recognisable image and to add a little fun plus brighten the place up at the same time.
